TEHRAN - The Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds will see the opening of the 12th edition of Iran’s international exhibition of metallurgy, dubbed IRAN METAFO, today.

The four-day event gets 217 domestic and 95 foreign exhibitors from around the world together, the IRNA News Agency reported on Sunday.

Exhibitors from Germany, Italy, France, Britain, the Czech Republic, India, Turkey, Russia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Australia, China, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Sweden, and Taiwan are taking apart in the event.

The main focus of the exhibition is on minerals and mining industry, iron and steel technology and products, casting, molding, forging, and machine works, non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, zinc, lead and precious metals) and industrial ceramics as well as furnaces and measurement systems.

In the 2014 version of the exhibit, 361 companies from 17 countries showcased their products and technologies.
